We are looking for an experienced and versatile editor to join Bloomberg"s Personal Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to chronicle one of the most important relationships in the world: the one between people and money.

As a member of Bloomberg's Personal Finance team, you will explain the myriad ways money is spent, saved, lost and acquired, and how these actions shape the way we live. Your coverage will cut across multiple areas that matter in the Asia region including investments, housing, careers, taxes, crypto and work. You will be expected to report and present stories in clear and exciting ways, as well as edit copy and marshal contributions from across the newsroom. You should be a strong writer, comfortable producing quick, smart and witty pieces, in addition to richly detailed longer-form features. You are a self-starter with a passion for telling the story of people's successes and failures, and the ability to demystify markets and macroeconomics and make them relevant to readers" lives.

**We"ll trust you to**:

- Make fast and decisive judgement calls to identify the most important stories as well as gaps in coverage
- Generate ideas and ensure clear, concise and accurate copy
- Produce quick, smart and witty pieces in addition to richly detailed longer-form features.
- Be comfortable working with veteran reporters and mentoring new talent
- Maintain a culture of urgency and innovation quickly developing new ways to capture the reader"s imagination
- Build influential relationships across the newsroom to ensure our coverage resonates globally and across all platforms.
**You'll need to have**
- At least 5 recent years of experience as a financial reporter or editor
- Experience working at a Real-Time News service
- Proven experience coordinating news coverage and collaborating with regional teams
- Strong writing skills and the ability to produce sophisticated stories
- Sound news judgement and a talent for looking beyond the obvious story
- Knowledge of Digital and multimedia skills as well as a strong visual sensibility
- Aptitude to excel in a fast-paced global environment and meet urgent deadlines
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
