This position will support the Regional Risk and Compliance team in ensuring that Canopius APAC has a robust risk and compliance framework in place. As a Risk & Compliance Analyst, you will need to think both analytically and creatively, and will be responsible for various aspects of compliance and regulatory matters, related initiatives and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual in the early stages of the career and looking to grow expertise and professional development in the Risk and Compliance space.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Support the delivery of all Risk & Compliance activities for the region
- Oversee the operation of Canopius’s Intermediary on-boarding, conduct and compliance obligations
- Responsible for effective communication of Risk & Compliance matters including timely and accurate reporting and/or escalation of matters in accordance with relevant reporting and protocols
- Work closely with the team members of Risk & Compliance to establish and maintain a robust risk and compliance framework to enable Canopius to comply with Lloyd’s, MAS as well as other regional requirements
- Assist the Risk & Compliance team to enable Canopius’ processes and procedures to demonstrate compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements
- Oversight of regulatory requests and returns to ensure timely submissions
- Facilitate with the preparation of Risk & Compliance papers for local and Group reporting
- Coordinate risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) and risk discussions
- Support the Risk & Compliance team in maintaining relationships both internally and externally
- Collaborate with other business functions for risk inputs/data for internal and external reporting
- Contribute to other ad-hoc tasks and projects
**Skills and Experience**:
- Strong awareness engagement in the wider Lloyd's and insurance industry including legislation and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate comprehensive Risk & Compliance knowledge and experience
- Sound understanding of insurance &/ Lloyd’s operations, products, policies and procedures with previous experience highly desirable
- Experience in developing service standards to deliver a brand's service vision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to deliver key messages succinctly and effectively.
- Strong levels of personal drive and a pro-active attitude.
- Independent and able to work effectively under pressure
**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
