
Assistant Accountant

**MAIN PURPOSE**:
Assist Singapore Accountant with finance duties and provide general admin support to Singapore office. The role is expected to provide support to Asia Pacific Finance function within the group where applicable.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Preparation of sales invoices and ensuring they are sent to client on a timely basis.
- Investigate and address any issues and enquiries from client relating to invoicing.
- Monitoring and action of debtor ageing to ensure prompt settlement of issued invoices.
- Issuing monthly statement of accounts to clients
- Preparing for and taking part in periodic Debt & Unbilled Sales call with Head Office
- Maintains and updates customer files, including portal logins and name or address changes etc.
- Monitoring of WIP and working with the Engineers to minimise WIP at month end.
- Timely issuance and reconciliation of intercompany invoices for APAC
- Processing of unbilled sales at month end and ensure accruals for late costs are in place
- Issuing weekly WIP reports to local operations
- Assist Singapore Accountant for timely completion of APAC audit & tax requirements.
- Provide support function to APAC finance within the group where required.
- Assist AP duties if required.
- Any additional duties assigned as required.
**Job Requirements**:
- Tertiary Qualification in Finance, Accounting or other relevant Business Degree
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to prioritise and work to tight timeframes
- Positive attitude and a great team player
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals
