**My client, a leading regional is looking for a Strategic Procurement Director to develop and implement an organisation-wide procurement strategy that aligns with the organisation’s vision and its current and long-term business objectives.**:
**Responsibilities**:

- ** Maintains open effective communications with Procurement teams in the areas of commodity sourcing, supplier and overall procurement/ inventory management. To prepare duty exemption list (Master List) and submit to customer for approval, especially for overseas projects.**:

- ** To develop, align and implement procurement policies and practices that ensure consistencies and in accordance to the audit requirements.**:

- ** Participate and support in the regular global materials cost reduction negotiation with suppliers leveraging on the global volume**:

- ** Work in cross functional team to develop alternate sources within each commodity to leverage value**:

- ** Drive supplier for value engineering to improve cost.**:

- ** Seek and develop new suppliers for cost reduction.**:

- ** Lead a team of Procurement staff to manage procurement activities**:
**Requirements**:

- ** Has liaised with heads of supply regionally to understand the business requirement of each country and what would be the most effective procurement and sub-contract management strategy for that region.**:

- ** To ensure quality, cost and risk management aspects are covered.**:

- ** Lead a team who looks into all third-party procurement for the refinery/Plant.**:

- ** Has experience in the end-to-end procurement and contacts cycle of procuring equipment and sub-contractor management at multi-discipline EPC project site.**:

- ** Carry out check and balances to ensure that the approved vendor is truly providing the best terms.**:

- ** Experience in contract management which included disputes, Variation Orders and interpretation of contracts.**:

- ** Experience in setting up an effective management of the procurement process, tracking of deliverables and contingency planning to ensure the project schedules are followed through.**:

- ** Exposure/experience in Subcontractor services for multi-discipline projects (SMP, Civil, Maintenance, E&I)**:

- ** Exposure working closely with engineering team on procurement of equipment.**:
