GENERAL SUMMARY & OVERALL CHALLENGES
The Director DBS JAPA is leading the development and the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System (DBS) model within the LMS organization focusing on the activities and processes conducted in JAPA region (Growth, Lean and Innovation). This role supports meeting the key performance metrics such as defined in the Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets.

Such strong leader aims to develop and roll-out all the DBS activities (processes, tools) for ensuring a sustainable achievement of the objectives targeted, proposes and implements continuous improvements for increasing permanently the performance of the organization.

The Director DBS JAPA is driving the DBS culture mindset development within all the activities where he/she is involved by its recognized expertise, leadership and training skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define - in collaboration with JAPA Regional Head(s) - the Regional DBS activities roadmap and expected achievements aligned with project sponsors and DBS leadership.
Lead the core DBS processes execution around JAPAC activities conducting to significant growth impacts.
Support Global DBSL team in the Global activities requiring JAPAC Regional support.
Lead, promote and facilitate proactively diagnosis of work flow impediments and other wastes throughout the business. Provide expert counsel, support on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate them and/or ensure to proactively include them into the DBS activity roadmap.
Drive targeted, sustainable improvement by being an active Leader (organizer) and/or support in PD, Daily Management reviews, PSP, Kaizen(as appropriate).
Support LMS and Danaher DBS organization for continuing the evolution of the DBS tools.
Coach, develop, and train, but also LEAD proactively the implementation of DBS tools where appropriate (“push” vs. waiting to be “pulled” for support).
Develop and execute a DBS tool educational strategy and program. Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching for developing certified DBS team (e.g.: CP program) and create DBS ambassadors allowing the setup of a sustainable DBS mindset within LMS. Promote and facilitate associate development in various DBS tools.
Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Own the definition, monitoring, reporting on-time of all the relevant metrics requested for measuring the sustainable success of the JAPA DBS activities.
Accountable for the on-time implementation of the JAPA DBS roadmap initiatives and achievement of corresponding targets.
Responsible for the DBS culture mindset development within LMS JAPA Regional organization (from L1 throughout all the functions)
Accountable to position LMS as a DBS bests-in-class organization within Danaher regarding the successful implementation, sustainable performance and/or development of (new) DBS Growth tools
Accountable to align Leadership team and peers behind DBS JAPA Regional roadmap

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Professional Experience
Significant experience of 5-8 years within DBS and/or demonstrated DBS use
Proven ability to manage successfully projects with strong organizational skills
Training/Project Management Excellence role in related industries
Experience in working in matrix international organization
Experience in change management

Education
University or Master Degree in Science, or Economics or Marketing
Master Blackbelt, Certified Practitioner qualification or hands-on experience implementing DBS

Language
Fluent in English and one additional language preferred

Travel (required estimated % of time)
This position requires travel 30-40% (within JAPA) and Europe.
The position is based in Singapore.
