**About the Company**:
Food Commodities Trading Pte Ltd (FCT) is a Singapore-based **commodities trading and sourcing company**, operating as a key supply chain partner for large industrial and distribution groups based across sub-Saharan Africa. Our core activities revolve around global procurement, trading of essential commodities, and sourcing of private label FMCG goods for African partners and third-party clients. We deliver high-impact solutions by optimizing logistics, quality control, and supplier reliability—serving as a strategic extension of our clients' procurement departments.

As we enter a new growth phase, we are expanding our presence and capabilities in Singapore to better serve our African clients, build stronger global supplier relationships, and diversify our product portfolio.

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a visionary and commercially driven **Managing Director**to lead and scale FCT’s Singapore operations. This role is pivotal in reinforcing Singapore as a base of excellence for sourcing, supplier engagement, trade execution, and market development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drive global sourcing and commodities trading activities**, with a strong focus on food commodities and FMCG private label goods.
- Act as the primary executive responsible for **supporting and optimizing the supply chains of our African clients**, many of whom are large industrial or distribution groups.
- Expand FCT’s commercial activities with new trading counterparties and third-party clients.
- Lead the development of Singapore as an operational base, including building a local team (traders, logistics, finance) to support international trading functions.
- Establish new supplier relationships and strengthen existing partnerships across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
- Develop long-term commercial strategies and explore new product lines or regional opportunities.
- Represent the company in front of banks, institutional partners, and key stakeholders in Singapore and internationally.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial standards applicable to international trade.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 8 years’ experience in **commodities trading, global sourcing, or international trade**, with P&L responsibility.
- Strong understanding of **African destination markets and sourcing ecosystems across Asia**.
- Demonstrated ability to **structure and lead trading operations**, manage counterparties, and deliver supply chain value to large clients.
- Experience scaling or setting up offices in Singapore or comparable international markets.
- Exceptional commercial acumen, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
- Graduate degree in Business Administration is a strong plus
- Fluent in English; French or other regional language is an asset.
