**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for the overall oversight of the Lifestrands Genomic’s laboratories including compliance, quality improvement, and technical personnel activities in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
- Review, interpret and report patients’ results reliably, accurately and with integrity
- Effectively communicate genetic information related to test results to healthcare professionals.
- Be familiar with both CAP and ISO15189 accreditation regulations.
- Review quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Comply with applicable local regulations.
- Review the laboratory’s risk management plan.
- Ensure specimen evaluations for molecular testing are accurate, thorough, and in compliance with accreditation regulations.
- Maintain familiarity with the laboratories’ policies and procedures.
- Assist and guide new test development and validation.
- Evaluate and refine disease and gene panels offered by the laboratory.
- Participate in senior management meetings.
- Participate in laboratory meetings.
- Assist with customer and staff education programs
- Assist company sales and marketing teams when applicable.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow all laboratory policies and procedures.
- Maintain and demonstrate technical competence.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities.
