**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
As the Medical Advisor, you will hold primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Plans for your assigned assets. Your remit will be to facilitate peer-to-peer medical and scientific information exchange with key external and internal stakeholders. You will be a valued co-strategist on cross-functional country teams, with Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access and Policy. In this role you propose local data generation study concepts and - if prioritized and funded - ensure HQ approval through appropriate governance. You will be accountable for on-time local study execution, analysis, and publication. You will build trust with the external scientific community via peer-to-peer engagement with scientific leaders and executes country advisory boards and expert input forums to remain on the leading edge of therapeutic and patient care advances. Collaborate successfully and lead resolution of regulatory, reputational, ethical, and other asset management issues in country.
**What will you do**:
- You will consolidate actionable medical insights from the country that can help inform company strategies
- You will ensure translation of Global Medical Goals and Strategies into research, data analysis, scientific communication and solutions that improve patient outcomes.
- Responsible for follow-up on investigator-initiated study proposals they receive that are aligned with the company’s areas of interest.
- You will act with ethics & integrity; provide non-promotional, balanced, reliable and scientific information, follow strictly company standards and local regulations
- You will communicate both scientific and business needs credibly, appropriately and effectively across a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Accountable to build trust with external scientific community via peer-to-peer scientific exchange, research and educational collaborations, interactions with scientific societies and health organizations, publications, or other.
- Responsible to provide therapeutic/functional training to assigned teams and affiliate functions
- Act to successfully collaborate and lead resolution of regulatory, reputational compliance and other asset issue management
- You will provide prompt medical information support, such as research and answering of medical inquiries from external and internal customers, and review/approval of local response documents.
**What should you have**:
- MD/ PharmD/Pharmacist/ PhD in a life science, preferably with specialization and/or clinical experience in the relevant therapeutic area. Preferably working on vaccines and/or infectious disease area is desired.
- 4-5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience / 2 years in an in-field customer facing role in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
- Strong experience of local pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory/reimbursement framework and clinical research guidelines
- Excellent strategic thinking specifically related to asset value proposition and clinical and value evidence.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and a good understanding of research methodology.
- Ability to Develop a network of scientific leaders and successful interactions with other key stakeholders (public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in therapy areas.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate information to country management, external groups and scientific leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication (written as well as oral) and results oriented project management skills.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to fit decisions in the broader context of corporate strategies. Ability to work in a complex matrix structure.
