Your tasks
- Contribute to the software development of our mobile robot backend system, which spans mobile robot clients, local servers, and cloud compute (AWS). Examples of features include remote data monitoring, data ingestion and curation, data management, graphic user interface, and software tools needed for mobile robot development. We value simplicity and robustness when designing systems, and we aim to have tooling for various aspects of managing/debugging the robot system.
- Develop new features in well documented industry ready software modules and libraries.
- Help build integration tests with the full system stack. Help build tools that allow us to monitor the robot fleet when deployed in the field.
- Work closely with algorithm teams (e.g. navigation team, localization team and perception team) and develop required software tools to ensure operational requirements are met.
- In addition to the above, you will also be working on backend system architecture and design, mapping out the development roadmap, and executing them together with the rest of the team.

**Profile**:

- A degree related to Computer Science or Engineering and 3 years of industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge & experience in Python is a must.
- Knowledge and experience in C++.
- Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing local and cloud(AWS) solutions.
- Understanding on software development lifecycle and design patterns.
- Having experience with robotics, IoT, autonomous vehicles or other hardware is an advantage.
- Experience with web/desktop user interface design (e.g. HTML/CSS) is of advantage.
- Knowledge of ROS/React/Redux/Typescript/Jenkins/Json is an advantage.
- An eye for detail, and commitment, and enthusiasm to see your system working with real robots.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel
