Product Owner - Senior Principal SW Engineer (Edge - SG)

Join us as a Software Senior Principal Engineer on our Edge Platform Software Development team in Singapore to take up Product Owner responsibilities and help shape the future of Edge Computing.

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner who is passionate about building scalable distributed systems and has a consistent track record of delivering Product Increments in SAFe Agile development framework.

What you’ll achieve

The Dell Technologies Edge Portfolio team is developing a North Star architecture and SW Platform that enables Dell to win at the edge by providing a system that will manage Edge estates, orchestrate outcomes and provide a vehicle for Dell to expand its offerings into multiple Edge vertical markets. You will have an exciting opportunity to make a huge impact on Dell’s strategic Edge business while building a highly scalable software platform with cutting-edge technologies.

As Product Owner, you will be responsible for working with product management and architects to define the backlog which will drive delivery and steer scrum teams to deliver new products and features with the highest quality.

You will:

- Diligently drive the product backlog and prioritize for scrum teams of highly competent engineers. Regularly partner with the platform Product Managers and business portfolio product managers to define/refine, prioritize, and deliver solutions.
- Develop strong bonds with your peer Product Owners and architects within the global team ensuring feature deliverables are aligned and dependencies understood.
- Ensure the highest standards for practicing software development using SAFe Agile development framework.
- Manage expectations of users and stakeholders and communicate with customers to ensure the product meets customer requirements.

Essential Requirements
- Requires 15+ years of Software development and 5+ years of Product Owner experience with a Bachelor’s/Master's degree.
- Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and hands-on development experience in building distributed scalable systems.
- Expertise in components for microservices development and deployment (i.e., Container runtime, Service discovery, Workflow engine, Messaging System, Reverse proxy, etc)
- Should be able to define key business and product success metrics, track them, and improve upon them to form data-driven opinions. Should be able to demonstrate your strong problem-solving skills by structuring issues and analyzing alternative scalable solutions.

Desirable Requirements
- Experience in developing software platforms for cloud and infrastructure management. Knowledge in building scalable microservices using Serverless computing and modern programming languages like Golang, and Rust.
- Should have practiced Domain-drive design (DDD) and Test-driven development (TDD) to produce quality modular code.
