Roles & Responsibilities
- Production cakes and pastries
- Decorating regular bakery items according to established bakery standards.
- Adhering to standard operating procedures to ensure efficient good flow.
- Designing and decorating cakes according to customers specification
- Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Management.
- Work closely with team to develop new recipes and idea generation.
- To create, plan and develop new dessert, cake, pastry and bread recipes for our menus based on well-researched trends and consumer demand.
- Ensure the provides a courteous and professional service at all times
- Be receptive to constructive feedback.
- To maintain and improve current dessert, cake, pastry and bread offerings.
- Ensure that all merchandise received is properly checked in terms of quality, quantity, and weight
- Maximum efficiency of kitchen facilities in the production of consistent, high quality desserts, cakes, pastry and bread.
- Ensure proper storage of all perishable material accordingly to the First-in-First-Out Policy
- Coordinate, organize and participate in all production pertaining to the kitchen.
- Control, monitor and be responsible for food costs to yield the maximum amount of outlet profit and maximum customer satisfaction.
- Check that the quality of food prepared by team members meet the required standard and make necessary adjustments.
- Displays curiosity and takes time to learn and understand new culinary trends
- Daily preparation and production of breads and pastries by following standards and SOPs
- Maintain, Clean and Sanitize all baking utensils, tools and machinery (Need to be familiar with all kitchen equipment, including and not limiting to mixers, blender, proofers, dough sheeter, oven, chiller, freezer, etc
- Pack orders accurately, store unbaked and baked pastries at the right storage place and temperature.
- Ensure that all pastries meet the needs of the target market and are in line with the operating philosophy.
