**About us**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage product development from defining experiments to providing meaningful data to support evaluation and technical decision
- Work closely with business team and customers/industry partner for pilot trials, implement their feedback and improve existing product to achieve customer specification
- Source and evaluate new raw materials for formulation and processing equipment
- Manage laboratory day-to-day operations including lab organisation, laboratory facilities, and safety protocols.
- Stay up to date with scientific literature/patent, brainstorm new ideas with founders and contribute to the intellectual property of the company
- Prepare progress update and presentations
- Mentor, develop and manage junior staff/interns

**Requirements**:

- Have a PhD (with 3+ years experience) or master’s (with 5+ years experience) in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science/engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field
- Have research/work experience in aerogel/composite/polymer/Battery materials/têxtile/insulation materials industry
- Have a solid knowledge of Battery systems/polymer/rheology/gel/formulation chemistry and Fire/non-combustibility rating standards
- Have a strong interest in R&D with a high level of scientific creativity and excellent problem-solving skills
- Adept at studying scientific literature and carrying out patent investigations to identify new ideas and commercialisation opportunities
- Enjoy the energy, impact, steep learning curves and fast pace of startups
- Ambitious, confident, curious and decisive amidst ambiguity and uncertainty

This is a **full-time job located in Singapore **. You must be interested in a commitment of at least one year with a desire to continue and contribute to the company’s future.
