Your Business

The Technology group delivers the groups information technology functions to ensure the highest levels of customer service through excellent process excellence and technology innovation.

We deliver available, reliable, consistent technology solutions for our internal and external customers, essential tools for our people and innovative product platforms for our customers (including Netbank and CommSec)

Your Team

The Payments Technology team resides in the Payments Service Utility and its purpose is to restore the trust of our customers by transforming the Payments services experiences provided by the Bank to 99.999% availability, greater agility and reliability.

Our team is composed of engineers and technology leaders, who bring in the right mix of skills to enable this transformation. We also work very closely with our business and operations colleagues to support these services which are critical to the Australian and Global economy.

The team is also responsible to drive Engineering Governance, Continuous Delivery and key technological simplification pillars such as Cloud and Payments Event based architecture.

Your impact & contribution

As an Executive Manager, will be responsible for building the Payments Technology organization within our Indian Office. You will be part of the Payments Senior Leadership team and will be responsible for prioritizing, coordinating and leading the execution of technical platform delivery and Service Management activities for the payment group.

You will be expected to lead change in these capabilities, delivering significant step change in posture and operational maturity, manage technology assets, and lead people in a way consistent with our values and risk appetite.

The role will participate in developing long term strategic & technical planning and drive the improvement of the delivery capability

Your reporting lines- Direct line reporting into the GM, Technology Products India- Functionally (dotted line) report into General Manager Payments Technology- You will be responsible for a significant direct and indirect team.

Your skills & Your Experience- Experience in building teams and good understanding of global team management as well as operating model.- Experience of managing a large team of people along with the technical expertise to provide direction when needed to deliver high performance outcomes.- Experience in leading service management teams with exposure to handling high severity and time critical incidents.- Detailed knowledge of systems management process, including exposure to establishing incident management process- Ability to coordinate and engage with multiple stakeholders (both business and technology) and following the procedures and escalation process.- Experience proactively driving service performance, resiliency and capacity management.- Team management skills, with exposure to managing multiple teams and different areas of the bank.- Experience working and providing technical leadership to Vendor products.- Experience in agile methods at scale, experiment driven innovation, and a measurement culture.-
- Risk mindset - All CBA employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.

Your Qualifications- A degree in Computer Science or tertiary qualifications in Information technology- 18+ years of experience in global technology delivery, service management, partner management, IT strategy and agile transformation.-
- Experience of managing and building out a large team - both change and run.- Outstanding delivery and running of large and complex technology programs.- Must have a working experience in banking domain and a good understanding and knowledge of payments products and lifecycle.
