Platform Engineering enables critical business functions within the bank by creating reliable E2E solutions through work flow / System Engineering leveraging both in-house solutions and industry leading products.

- Build, lead and inspire an engaged team of Engineering Manages and Engineers.
- Empower team leads/teams to manage their work appropriately, respond to queries, address impediments and problem solve technical issues.
- Provide effective coaching to Engineers and establish mechanisms for peer to peer learning and mentoring.
- Understand how to foster and lead diverse teams and demonstrate commitment to doing so.
- Role model a culture of engineering empowerment, autonomy, psychological safety and constructive challenge.
- Understand unique skill sets of team of Engineers / Engineering Managers, providing personalised feedback and guidance.
- Communicate to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure clear path to execution.
- Communicate Engineering Practice standards and consistent ways of working across the domain and CBA that align to industry standards & Best Practices.
- Allocate time for code review, refactoring and tech debt elimination over feature delivery.
- Mentoring, coaching of Engineering managers.

**Risk skills and experience

Comprehensive experience in risk management in complex environments, including experience in incident and issue management, adhering to compliance obligations and developing ‘risk resilient’ cultures.

The skills to manage risk effectively including authentically communicating the importance of risk in a way that mobilises others to act, making robust decisions based on data and root cause analysis, creating an environment where people feel safe to speak up, working collaboratively across the three lines of accountability and delivering sustainable results

**Other Skills Required**

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team
- 17+ years of experience in Information Technology in a fast-paced environment
- 8+ years in management overseeing tech development in an agile eco system
- Strong People leadership skills to lead, develop, motivate team and help them grow providing direction and guidance as required.
- Must have managed large teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Have a keen eye for continuous improvements and help achieve efficiencies in both build and operations.
- Preference to PEGA certified professionals with hands on background or any other workflow based platforms.
- Keen Desire to propagate industry best practices and strong devOps skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC
- Strong understanding and experience in public cloud (AWS) would be desirable but working knowledge of AWS is must.
- Prior experience in Product based set up will be an advantage.
- Analytical thinker, problem solver and able to deliver outcomes manoeuvring through inter-dependencies that are both internal and external.
