**Location**:Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park (Hybrid)

**Business & Team**

The Financial Crime Domain within CBA focuses on compliance and measures to prevent financial crimes. This domain is crucial for ensuring that the bank adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains the integrity of its operations. Data Engineering in the Financial Crime Domain focuses on Data Collection and Integration, Data Analysis and Modelling, Compliance and Reporting and Data Controls.

As a Senior Data Engineer you’ll be part of the Engineering Chapter building Data Assets for the Financial Crime domain. We work across the AWS Cloud, Teradata Group Data Warehouse, Hadoop Big Data Platform, Ab Initio technologies, which is why we’re the perfect fit for you. Here, you’ll be part of a team of engineers going above and beyond to improve the standard of digital banking, using the latest tech to solve our customers’ most complex data-centric problems.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Passionate about building next generation data platforms and data pipeline solution across the bank.
- Are data enthusiastic in providing solutions that source data from various enterprise data platform into data lake, transform and process the source data to produce data products, transform and egression to other data platforms like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata and other cloud platforms.
- Can collaborate, co-create and contribute to existing Data Engineering and testing practices in the team.
- Ready to execute state-of-the-art coding and testing practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks.
- Have experience and responsible for data security and data management.
- Capable to create both technology blueprints and engineering roadmaps, for a multi-year data transformational journey.
- Being a full cycle engineer, manage the end to delivery cycle including requirement gathering, documentation, design, build, test, and release.
- Take part in design and document the same through UML diagrams
- Effectively manage relationships and communications with project stakeholders, including business and delivery teams
- Take part in design and build of the cloud infrastructure in AWS through infrastructure as a code.
- Contribute to DevSecOps changes and help the engineering chapter towards higher DevSecOps maturity
- Review and contribute to all reference architecture and Platform initiatives in CBA
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Enforce and drive best practices in engineering space
- Contribute to test automation including unit testing and integration testing
- Contribute to triage of production and test environment issues.

**Essential Skills**
- 8 years + of development experience in any object-oriented programing language, preferably Java (Spring boot).
- Strong understanding of data structures and efficient management of memory.
- Have worked as a full cycle engineers who can gather requirement, design, develop, test, release and do production support.
- Have experience in codifying infrastructure.
- Good to have exposure to different types of databases like key value pair, document and graph. Exposure to data warehouses like AWS redshift will be an advantage.
- Worked in an agile environment.
- Experience in development and collaboration tools like GIT, Jira, Confluence.
- Good experience in working in a large team.
- Good understanding of enterprise solutions and architecture

**Education Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
