A Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS).

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare perovskite nanomaterials- Conduct ultrafast optical spectroscopy experiments (including transient PL and transient absorption and time-resolved magneto-optical spectroscopy- To setup and align optical beamlines/setups for home-built micro-transient optical spectroscopy experiments- To conduct micro-transient absorption spectroscopy studies on the measurements of carrier diffusion length- Perform data analysis and data interpretation of micro-transient optical spectroscopy experiments independently- Assist the PI in the supervision and mentoring of graduate students- Assist the PI in the writing of research papers and grants

Job Requirement:
- PhD Degree in Physics or Chemistry or Chemical Sciences or nanomaterials and nanotechnology-
- At least a BSc 1st Class/2nd Class Upper Honours Degree in Physics or Chemistry or Chemical Sciences or nanomaterials and nanotechnology- Minimum 3 Years of Research Experience in Ultrafast Lasers and Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy of materials.- Minimum 3 Years of Research Experience in the study of photophysics in systems.-
- Excellent knowledge in the optical characterization of semiconductor materials (including nanostructures) which includes transient spectroscopy (pump-probe, time-resolved PL), and material characterizations (XRD, AFM, GIWAXS/GISAXS).
