**Responsibilities**
- Work hand in hand with the team to create web-related and mobile-related features for our website and app. Identify opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience, based on user research
- Understand target users deeply: develop or work from user profiles and conduct task analysis, create user scenarios or use stories
- Define UX requirements, create wireframes and prototypes of system functionality and workflows / create UI designs for web & mobile - functionality and aesthetics
- End to end project management and managing multiple, complex projects in parallel
- Conduct usability testing and execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Identification and troubleshooting of bugs that are found on the website/mobile app
- Experience and knowledge of best practices for rapid prototyping
- Contribute to and help create design guidelines, best practices and standards

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency and experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Proficiency in Javascript frameworks like AngularJS or React
- Knowledge of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery or Backbone.js
- Proficient in user research methodologies (Certification with HFI, Norman Nielsen, or studies with HFE are a plus)
- Solid understanding of user-centred design, and ability to conduct user research, user testing, prototyping, heuristic analysis
- Proficient in some wireframing and rapid prototyping tools (e.g. Invision, Axure, Sketch, Adobe CS, Figma, Framer, Balsamiq, Principle etc.) or designing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) or other tools such as Ethnio, Loop 11, Morae and Excel.
- Ability to implement web designs
- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. graphic, interaction, computer science, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Desire to learn and adapt to new technologies
- A strong team player
- Detail-oriented, analytical and love solving problems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time and project management skills
