The Role

Data Quality Associate is to support the implementation of Data Quality framework and to help embed a culture of excellence in Data Quality within the company. You will work under guidance of the Head of Data Quality, supporting and delivering data quality analysis to large-scale insurance projects and business functions. Data Quality Associate will ensure that responsibilities and agreed objectives are completed in accordance with the relevant Company and/or Group policies, and consistent with their assigned responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities- Assess our data quality against Howden Data Standards by working collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders- Conduct root cause analysis of data issues- Analyse results and present findings to stakeholders- Working with a range of stakeholders develop and recommend data improvement options- Develop data improvement plans and support data stewards in issue remediation- Contribute to the continual improvement of our data quality management framework- Champion the benefits of good Data Quality.- Assist with data quality tooling management

- Build strong and effective relationships across the business to promote a positive image of the Business Services Function- Maintain awareness of organisational structures and activities, including cross-border activities and intercompany relationships/dependencies, in order to understand business dynamics, pressures and needs.- Responds to the clients and/or business partners (both internal and external) requirements as appropriate.- Behaves with all clients (both internal and external) fairly and ethically.

Skills and Attributes

Essential- Experience of working as a Data Quality Analyst or similar role- Strong communication skills with both business and technical partners.- A self
- starter who can handle multiple priorities.- Able to articulate sophisticated technical themes to business stakeholders.- High attention to detail whilst understanding the bigger picture.- Strong problem solving skills.- Competent in SQL

Desirable- Experience with data governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Reltio, Informatica, Orchestra Networks etc.). Experience with metadata and Data Quality tools (e.g. Ataccama, Informatica.IDQ, Trillium etc.).- Insurance broking or wider Financial Services industry knowledge
