Asst Operation Manager

We are a cleaning Company specialising in commercial cleaning. We have a dishwashing division looking for a dishwashing supervisor. The incumbent applicant is responsible for managing the dishwashing team that we have, he will need to train new workers and also help to stand in to be a dishwasher if there is a shortage of manpower.

During his work when his standing in as a Dishwasher, he need to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using dishwashing machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures that designated work areas are maintained as clean, safe and sanitary.

**Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Help to source and find new dishwashers, interview them and assist with their employment

2. Train New Dishwashers to ensure that they are up to the quality standard required

3. Monitor and ensure that the worker is stable before allowing the new worker to go solo

4. Visit all the shop frequently to build close relationship with restaurant manager and ensure everything is well.

5 Ensure dishwashers are comfortable in their site and that they are fairly treated.

6. Help to plan schedule of dishwashers weekly off day and leave**Dishwashing Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. Set up or break down dishwashing area.

2. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glasses, tableware, and other cooking utensils.

3. Place rinsed items in racks to send through dishwashing machine.

4. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.

5. Sort and stack clean dishes.

6. Allow dishes and other items to dry in accordance with the department’s established practice and procedure.

7. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.

8. Change dishwater in dishwashing machine and/or sinks as instructed

9. Clean dish machine as instructed

General Kitchen Duties:
10. Remove trash and garbage to dumpster

11. Clean and roll/unroll mats

12. Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions

13. Sweep/mop floors

14. Sweep up trash as instructed

15. Conduct general cleaning as directed

16. Wipe up any spills to ensure safety

17. Deep cleaning as assigned

- Previous experience working in a kitchen preferred.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and assignments.

The Dishwashing Supervisor will likely be operating in a kitchen and fast paced enviroment.

The employee will likely be required to work on rotating shifts, weekends and likely long hours.

Off day will likely fall on weekdays as well.

The dishwashing role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicalsThe employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.

This role requires extended periods of standing, walking intermittently throughout the working day, as well as reaching, stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, and manipulating various food products, dietary supplies and equipment.

The Dishwashing Supervisor must have an ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents. Must be able to withstand exposure to temperature and humidity changes as in entering refrigerated storage areas, working at ovens, ranges, dish-washing machines, and at steam tables.
