**Responsibilities**:
The Commissioning Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all relevant discipline scope is tested and commissioned to project standards whilst managing the technicians. Take ownership of a completed system. Ensure systems are correctly tested and ultimately commissioned in accordance with project standards and specifications. Responsible for the transfer of systems from the Construction groups through the Commissioning phase and the handover to the Company operations for start-up and plant operations.

**Tasks**:
i. General
- Represent the Area Commissioning Lead and seek consultation with him/her on electrical completion decisions.
- Manage the Deputy Discipline Commissioning Lead and their subordinates.
- Provide onsite leadership in ensuring safe execution of the discipline systems completions and commissioning.
- Provide guidance and participate in activities concerning Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Turnover of the discipline systems.
- Provide assistance in development of Commissioning Management Procedures and participate/lead functional and inspection checks, startup and operating, loop testing, Permit to Work (PTW), and preparation of Completion Dossiers, etc.
- Participate and provide input to FAT plans and schedules.
- Lead and participate in Systems Completion acceptance processes including punch list activities and management of same for electrical and systems.
- Provide commissioning input for specific discipline equipment and systems Safety and Operability reviews.
- Review electrical and ECMS Startup and Operating manuals and spares.
- Develop interface/transition to steady state operations of electrical equipment and systems.
- Ensure discipline commissioning procedures, work packs, and Turnover and Completion Packages (TCP's) are developed and implemented in accordance with Systems Completion Specification.
- Use the Completion Management System for completion and certification.
- Provide input into Commissioning Execution Plan for rollup into an Integrated Field Plan.
- Ensure utilization of a computerized Completion Management System for tracking, certification, and quality purposes. Monitor proper database population of engineering parameters, check sheets, and verification criteria for instrumentation and control equipment. Witness and approval of relevant discipline check sheets.
- Attend the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT's) of all the major electrical equipment.
- Ensures Operations representatives receive proper familiarization and training on all electrical equipment and systems according to the requirements the Operability Management Plan.

General Qualifications:

- Diploma in related trade with experience in management. Must have extensive experience in lieu of diploma.
- Minimum 7 years of direct relevant commissioning experience on site
- Other preferred Skills:

- Good understanding of Design Engineering.
- Knowledge of Relevant Specification / International Standards.
- Competency in English a benefit when not a first language (IELTS score of 6.5 / TOEFL score 79-93).
