Longevity/Commissioning Superintendent

• Steam plant operation and maintenance.
• Regas plant installation & commissioning
• Cryogenic pipe & insulation cold test.
• Commissioning of cryogenic equipment like re-gas vaporizers, flow-meter, LNG supply pump from tank to vaporizer, Gas compressors with assistance from yard and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to satisfy Class and industry standards.
• Testing the gas/LNG integrity of newly commissioned and existing equipment's in very cold conditions (-160 degree C) to confirm safe operational readiness.
• Commissoning of Class verified LNG tank level gauging system/alarm systems/safety valves etc.
• Re-gasification plant operation and maintenance.
• Consult with Manufacturer and original equipment service engineers for specialist advice and guidance.
• Hydrostatic Pressure testing of high-pressure equipment's like Boilers, accumulators etc to meet class requirements.
• Carrying out plant-up/steam up operation from 0 to max operating pressure for the steam plant after completion of project. SEA/GAS trial of vessel to confirm its operational readiness. Testing all machinery onboard to their maximum safe operating parameters as stated by manufacturer.
• Testing of powerplant on-board: Diesel/steam turbine generators to their max operating capacity, paralleling of generators and checking effective load sharing. Testing effective safety/interlocks of High voltage systems if installed onboard.
• Assist in preparation of layup Plan Maintenance system
• Supervise the execution of maintenance work as per layup plan maintenance schedule.
• Refurbishment of existing piping and instrumentation onboard ship as part of Anti-deterioration maintenance.
• Renewal of existing equipment onboard as deemed necessary.
• Overhauling and testing of equipment to meet the operational requirements onboard.
• Responsible for commissioning of new equipment and machinery onboard ship.
• Operational testing and calibration of precision instruments operating onboard and newly commissioned machinery.
• Maintaining, repairing various process pipelines (Gas, pneumatic, hydraulic, sea water, fresh water, fuel, steam etc)
• Operation and calibration of Gas detectors, Fire/flame detector, Dew Point meters.
• Assist Site supervisor in procurement of spares and stores necessary for maintenance.
• Following up with vendors and suppliers for various equipment's and spares. Expedite the procurement of spares with long lead time.
• Maintaining records of spares/stores used onboard. Maintain invoice records for spares used and services carried out by specialist engineers/OEM in maintenance of machinery.
• Assist Site supervisor for reporting guarantee claims of equipment and systems under anti-deterioration maintenance.
• Engage with Site supervisor to agree and manage shipyard utilisation, if required, for achievement of anti-deterioration maintenance schedules.
• Assist Site supervisor for review and document commissioning reports, shipyard completion reports of new/modified equipment and new/modified systems handed over for anti- deterioration maintenance
• Report on resource utilization along with allocation of manpower with the shipyard support, in order to meet the maintenance scheduling.
• Preparing reports providing objective evidence to meet the CLASS verification requirements for various jobs carried out.
• For new/modified equipment and new/modified systems handed over for anti-deterioration maintenance
• Compare machinery and system commissioning reports, shipyard work completion reports and "as installed" condition with makers, class and company USMS requirements. Non-conformity with makers, class and USMS requirements are to be reported appropriately.
• Provide technical and operational support and guidance to project.
• Report technical and Operational issues appropriately.
• Carry out unscheduled maintenance
• Co-ordinate with relevant shore-based resources to support maintenance requirements.
• Maintenance, testing and checking operational readiness of life saving equipment.
• Maintenance, testing and checking operational readiness of firefighting applications.
• Track maker and class non-conformities detected at handover of equipment and systems to close-out.
• Promote health and safety as corporate values.
• Maintain a "lessons learned", register for the maintenance team on site for effective and safe operations.
• Daily reporting of planned maintenance work carried out to site manager.
• Maintain a register for critical equipment present onboard and necessary spares required as per CLASS and their compliance to MARPOL/SOLAS/COMPANY SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
• Prepare Emergency operation plan on critical equipment's for new modifications carried out them.
• Prepared detailed starting/operation/maintenance procedures for newly commissioned as well are refurbished machinery onboard as per advice by manufacturer.

Requirements:

- Experienced in installation, IO checks & other engineering jobs for Control and automation engineering jobs.

- Extensive yard experience carrying out dry dock of many LNG ships, carrying out Gas freeing and cooldown operation of cryogenic tanks.

- Expertise in handling cold test of new cryogenic line. Making Risk assessment & implementing the same.

- Hand on experience for fault finding and troubleshooting the automation at site & during commissioning of Regas/ Power plants.

- To prepare vessel to make seaworthy & smooth sailing. Meeting all requirement of Class.

- Expert at handling & repair work on high pressure steam plant (Boilers/turbines) 60 bar,525 deg C.

- Hands on experience at handling & repairing high pressure 50 ~ 60 bar hydraulic systems.'

- Hand on experience in repairing & managing cryogenic pipes.\

- Knowledge about various ship/shore and FSRU/power-ship safeties at the manifold during continuous cargo/gas transfer operations
