**About the Role**:
The Marketing Finance Accounting & Reporting team is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join us.
You are critical in identifying potential financial risks and opportunities by working closely with Marketing and broader Finance function to develop reliable and accurate outcomes.
You will drive continuous improvement of the financial process and performance of the business. A confident self-starter with highly developed engagement skills will ensure you are at ease when working with a wide range of stakeholders.

Your accountabilities in this role could include:

- Identifies and acts on emerging trends such as potential financial risks and opportunities due to volatile external environment
- Applies knowledge of local and international accounting policies and standards
- Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders on the design, testing and deployment of various Marketing initiatives to ensure well controlled process and correct accounting outcomes
- Drives continuous improvements in monthly period end close through setting the appropriate focus areas of improvement and monitoring the progress of the improvements
- Reviews Briefing papers and external reporting deliverables submission according to Group requirements
- Facilitates and contributes to the routine balance sheet process deep dive sessions and annual stewardship review to identify gaps and process simplification and standardisation
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes

**About You**:

- To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with a solid technical Accounting foundation with a demonstrated understanding of business processes, analysis, and communication skills- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting or related discipline, or ACCA
- Proactively identifies and takes accountability to manage all relevant deliverables
- Has excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
- Languages: Fluent English, both verbal and written
