General Engineer

**Duties**:
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Los Angeles Air Force Base is searching for a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer & Information Systems Security Manager (NH-0801-03).
** Salary Range with Locality pay for Los Angeles, CA: $101,121-$156,323. Actual pay setting with locality will depend on place of residence for remote work. **
Description:
This position is a critical senior engineering position in the Mission Protection Branch within Space Sensing's Engineering Division. The individual hired for the position will be responsible for leading the Cybersecurity function for the entire Space Sensing portfolio of programs. The incumbent will also perform the role of Information Systems Security Manager for all programs currently in acquisition. A minimum of Information Assurance Manager Level II certification is a requirement for this position. Engineering Acquisition Level II certification is also a requirement of the position. The individual hired will also be expected to be a self-starter and work independently.

- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Training requirement to have DAWIA level II certification in Engineering, and capable of advising the leadership on latest acquisition policies/guidance and instructions, generating comprehensive acquisition reports per DoD and Congressional requirements. Training requirement needed to obtain Information Assurance Manager Level II certification.
- This position requires the Guardian to be a highly motivated self-starter and to work independently, who specializes in seeking collaboration with other team members and organizations. It also requires the individual lead the cybersecurity function for the SN enterprise and to perform the role of Information Systems Security Manager for all SN Systems in acquisition. In addition, this position requires the Guardian to be meticulous and capable of drafting high-level documents on behalf of the Branch Chief
- Responsible for leading the cybersecurity function for the SN enterprise ensuring cybersecurity is baked into SN programs in acquisition. The individual will also perform the role of Information System Security Manager for all programs in acquisition in the SN portfolio of programs.
- Strong communication skills are critical, both oral and written, with a focus on clear, concise and technically accurate dialogue that synchronizes cybersecurity efforts across all programs the SN portfolio. In addition, the duties of this position require the ability to analyze, negotiate, and resolve complex issues while maintaining good working relationships.
- Finally, as part of our leadership team, you are expected to train, develop, mentor, and motivate junior civilian and military engineers.
