ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. ING’s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the
Team do in ING?

We support our relationship management team for large corporates across Asia (incl. Australia) by doing end to end execution of lending transactions, and we are responsible for the portfolio management of our loan portfolio. Our clients include some of the largest names in the various industries across the region. We cover diverse sectors including manufacturing, construction, e-commerce, fintechs, conglomerates and investment holding companies.

What would you be doing?- Support the CSL team in preparing the credit risk analysis, including financial risks, business risks and industry analysis, of our large corporate clients in Asia.- Input client data in our internal financial analysis and risk rating systems.- Portfolio management including preparing overdue credit and rating reports, overdue covenant reports, and other ad hoc reports.- Updating financial models and building financial models.- Research on prospect companies and our customers.

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
- You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.- Good working knowledge of excel, powerpoint and word.- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, and able to update and build financial models.- Knowledge of accounting would be very helpful.- Must possess a ‘hands-on’, ‘can do’ mentality.- Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong team player.- Fluent in English, both verbally and written.
