We are seeking an experienced Exhibition Merchandising Manager to oversee merchandising for our upcoming art exhibition, including managing the gift shop. This role involves sourcing products, designing the store layout, managing the timeline, and ensuring merchandising aligns with the exhibition's aesthetic and goals.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Source products that match the exhibition's theme and quality standards, establish supplier relationships, and handle price negotiations and delivery.

Design and implement visually appealing displays that enhance the visitor experience and drive sales, collaborating with the exhibition design team.

Manage the project timeline, ensuring all deadlines are met and coordinating with exhibition design, curatorial, and logistics teams. Oversee budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, storage, and restocking, and implement systems to track sales and inventory.

Train and manage gift shop staff to maintain high standards of customer service and sales performance.

Ensure excellent customer service in the gift shop, manage staff, and analyze sales data to adjust strategies.

Collaborate with internal teams (curatorial, conservation, marketing) and external vendors.

Monitor and manage the merchandising budget, adjusting strategies based on sales performance.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**:
2-4 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail management, or a similar role, with exhibition or museum experience preferred.

Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of conservation issues for works of art (if applicable).

Model making skills or experience with three-dimensional design is a plus.

Detail-oriented with good analytical skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, use computers and other office equipment, and perform physical administrative duties in an office, gallery, or exhibit space.
