
Purchasing Logistics Executive

He / She is responsible to successfully execute all procurement and logistic functions related to the project, including but not limited to the following:
- Plan procurement actions according to procurement plans of the project in consultation with the Superior and internal stakeholders for timely delivery/ availability of material/ services.
- Create / receive the purchase requisitions, verify for correctness, analyse for availability of the material in-house and decide procurement action accordingly.
- Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services.
- Send RFQ to suitable vendors and get quotations.
- Negotiate with short-listed vendors/ source as per SGIT procurement guidelines and for price and other terms and conditions.
- Compare the price, lead time and quality amongst selected vendors to secure the best deal.
- Raise Purchase Order (PO) for approval by approving authority.
- Issue PO to the vendor concerned in timely manner and get acknowledgement.
- Monitor progress of manufacture/ supply, follow-up with vendor to ensure timely supply.
- Select the best and cost-effective logistic partners/ companies to ensure timely delivery at site.
- Monitor progress of logistics and transportation, follow-up to ensure timely delivery at site.
- Liaise with custom agencies/ authorities/ client reps for timely custom clearance for imported goods to ensure goods are received on time.
- Monitor inventory and writing orders to refill stock.
- Inspect purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
- Update all records of purchased products.
- Write reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses.
- Feedback/ complaints to vendors for corrective actions/ improvements
- Attend and contribute to meetings with staff and other stakeholders.
- Research for improvements in vendor selection, products selection and identifying better sources of supply & logistics.
- Initiate and participate in vendor developments for more effective procurements locally / regionally.
- Contribute for improvements in Procurement and Logistics processes and software systems.
Any other duties assigned by his / her Manager from time-to-time.
**Requirements**:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent
- Specialized Course / training in Purchasing and Logistics is advantageous
- Excellent command of English, both in Word and Writing; Command of other languages holds an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Windows, MS-Office, ERP, PMS software and document management systems.
