Sqs Engineer

**JOB PURPOSE**:

- Responsible to ensure the Quality Assurance & Control of the packages for compliance to Project Requirements/Specification and International Standards
- Perform all SQS work assignments in accordance with the standard work procedures, practices and specifications
- Overall Management of SQS Activities for the packages,
- Review of Vendor Documents for Compliance to Project Requirements/Specification and International Standards
- Coordinate with the responsible PRE, PRB, Client and Supplier to establish levels of inspection as per the Project Specifications & Criticality Rating for assigned packages.
- Perform/Witness Inspections/Testing as per the ITP for Witness/Hold Activities, Review of Reports/Test Certificates and Surveillance/Monitoring of the fabrication progress/quality

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- SQS implementation and administers the Quality Assurance Plan that is manifested by the Company QA Supervisor for field (construction/fabrication sites) and participates on a day-to-day basis in those quality assurance activities that provide Quality Assurance Support for the Capital Projects Organization.
- Participate in bid clarification and kick-off meetings.
- Attending pre-production meeting, review of vendor package and equipment documents
- Third party inspector’s management
- Review and approve of vender and supplier QA/QC documents like Inspection test plans, WPS-PQR documents, welding and WQT related documents
- Review and approval of Quality related specification, painting procedures, SAT and FAT procedures, NDT procedures, EIT related documents, pre com and commissioning documents
- Prepare and issue of weekly and Monthly QA/QC reports
- Responsible to organize and perform audits and surveillance at a supplier's (or their sub suppliers) facility to verify compliance with qualification requirements.
- Focal point within the sourcing team for technical related supplier activities.
- Perform all SQS work assignments in accordance with the standard work procedures, practices and reference systems.
- Responsible to create a quality teaming process relationship with our suppliers by making every effort to be proactive and encourage continuous improvement and better communication.
- Assist in the assignment of Quality resources.
- Capture lessons learned for continuous improvement of processes / procedures.
- Review and analyze vendor/supplier Quality Submissions (plans, resources, systems).
- Prepare Project Specific Quality Assurance plans that are descriptive and detailed for
- Project Quality deliverables.
- Prepare weekly report that shall include information regarding project specific observations. Verify that applicable procedures, codes, specifications, and contract requirements were implemented; any discrepancies between the observation and requirements, along with any potential hazards; and all cost avoidance items. Concise reports which detail the current status of the order being surveyed.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: **
- Must be familiar with International Codes and Standards relevant for Offshore Projects (ASME, NORSOK, BS, AS / NZS etc.) 
- Able to handle the assigned packages completely 
- Co-ordinate with all parties such as Vendor/PRE/PRB/Client effectively 
- Expediting skills for on time delivery of the packages with quality and zero punch

**EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL TRAINING: **
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Material Engineering. 
- CSWIP 3.1 / CWI-AWS Welding inspector Level 1 or equivalent. 
- ASNT NDT Level II - RT/UT/PT/MT & VT. 
- Prefer to possess Lead ISO Auditor certification from CQI/IRCA Approved Training Centre. 
- Possession of Offshore Certification Courses (BOSIET, H2S Training etc.) is added advantage

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 05 Years of relevant experience in the field of Offshore Topside/Jackets/FLNG Fabrication & Commissioning
- Must have experience in handling all the project’s Compliance documents as per Regulatory Requirements
- Must have good experience in handling the vendor’s/suppliers for project compliances
- Must have experience in reviewing of vendor package documents/certificate’s/reports and experience in witness of FAT and Other Tests
- Have experience in auditing of Vendor’s/Suppliers
