Sqs Engineer- E&i

**JOB PURPOSE**:

- Responsible to ensure the Quality Assurance & Control of the packages for compliance to Project Requirements/Specification and International Standards
- Perform all SQS work assignments in accordance with the standard work procedures, practices and specifications
- Overall Management of SQS Activities for the packages,
- Review of Vendor Documents for Compliance to Project Requirements/Specification and International Standards
- Coordinate with the responsible PRE, PRB, Client and Supplier to establish levels of inspection as per the Project Specifications & Criticality Rating for assigned packages.
- Perform/Witness Inspections/Testing as per the ITP for Witness/Hold Activities, Review of Reports/Test Certificates and Surveillance/Monitoring of the fabrication progress/quality

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To ensure the packages, equipment’s, instruments supplied complies with all the material requisition/PO listed documents/standards/specifications
- Actively participate in Bid Clarification Meeting before PO, Kick Off Meeting after PO with Vendor to brief Project Quality Requirement’s
- Arrange and conduct Pre Inspection Meeting, Quality Audits, Review of Sub Vendor/Sub Supplier Qualifications etc.
- Ensure the vendor follows the approved vendor list for all the equipment’s/Instruments and Materials
- Follow up and update the status of critical QA documents for on time submission and approval
- Review and approval of Quality documents such as VDRL, ITP, Quality Plan, FAT procedures etc.
- Review of FAT Reports/Test Certificates/Compliance Certificates etc.
- Review of Vendor Documents for Compliance to Hazardous Area Equipment Requirements (IECEx/ATEX). This includes review of IECEx/ATEX Certificates, Ex Register, DOC, QAN/QAR etc
- Follow up with all parties for on time completion of all activities as per the intervention points indicated on the approved ITP’s and responsible to ensure the relevant reports are documented/signed, reviewed and submitted in a timely manner
- Responsible to organize and perform audits (QMS & Process) and surveillance at a supplier's (or their sub suppliers) facility to verify compliance with project requirements/specifications/ISO Standards
- Conduct meeting with vendor to ensure the QA Document submissions are as per schedule and timely completion of FAT/FI and on time delivery with Zero Punch
- Attend weekly meeting with vendors to discuss on the critical issues and ensure quality requirements are always met
- Ensure all the working personnel from Vendor and Site complies with competency requirements as per IEC 60079
- Give necessary training and briefing to all working personnel
- Manage TPI’s as and when necessary, Responsible to review the reports submitted by TPI before submitting to client and effective co-ordination with TPI to conduct the inspections/audits in an effective manner
- Prepare and issue of weekly and Monthly QA/QC reports
- Maintain a register for the lesson learnt for continuous improvements and briefing to new suppliers/working personnel
- Responsible to raise NCR’s for any Non conformances and follow up for closure and brief the personnel to ensure the same is not repeated in future
- Follow up with supplier/PRE/PRB for the closure of all FAT Punch List/NCR’s etc
- Ensure the vendor is practicing good safety practices all the time and the same to be monitored during the visits to factory for inspection/surveillance. Report/Register if noticed any unsafe act or condition to the vendor’s HSE representative and ensure the safety is in place
- To plan the inspection activities in advance especially for overseas visits and minimize the visits and expenses without compromising the quality

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**:

- Must be familiar with International Codes and Standards relevant for Offshore Projects (IEC, ASME, NORSOK, BS, AS/NZS etc.)
- Must be familiar with Hazardous Area Equipment Standards IEC 60079, IEC 80079, ATEX Directive etc.
- Able to handle the assigned packages completely
- Co-ordinate with all parties such as Vendor/PRE/PRB/Client effectively
- Expediting skills for on time delivery of the packages with quality and zero punch

**EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL TRAINING**:

- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Valid Hazardous Area Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Certificate is added advantage (CompEx 01 to 04 or IECEx or Equivalent)
- Prefer to possess Lead ISO Auditor certification from CQI/IRCA Approved Training Centre’s
- Possession of Offshore Certification Courses (BOSIET, H2S Training etc.) is added advantage

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 5 Years of relevant experience in the field of Offshore Topside/Jackets/FLNG Fabrication & Commissioning
- Must have experience in handling all the project’s Compliance documents as per Regulatory Requirements
- Must have good experience in handling the vendor’s/suppliers for project compliances
- Must have experience in reviewing of vendor
