What you’ll achieve

As a junior machine learning engineer you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to solve complex problems and evolve our world-class supply chain. You will use technical knowledge and your ability to build strong relationships to develop, recommend and drive adherence of creative, practical solutions for transformational change. As a junior machine learning engineer, you will have access to cutting-edge technologies and robust datasets to make an impact at Dell Technologies.

In this role, your ability to balance technical skills while collaborating with team members is key. You will work on an agile team, join forces with teammates from Data Engineering, Software Development and Process Engineering, and have great visibility to executive leaders. At Dell, we are dedicated to developing talent, and we will invest in talent who can balance technical aptitude with strong relationships while exhibiting a curiosity to drive meaningful change. From this role, team members have rotated to other projects and leadership roles across Dell to hone their skillset, grow their breadth of experience, and expand their professional network.

You will:

- Contribute to business strategy and influence decision making based on information gained from data exploration & mining
- Produce actionable and compelling recommendations by interpreting, exploring and identifying insights from complex data sets
- Collaborate with internal partners to determine practical solutions and expand the thinking of those around you
- Use data and your ability to tell compelling stories to drive business action
- Ensure the continuous effectiveness of existing and new predictive models, algorithms and probability engines by monitoring model and algorithms based on actual results and refining based on data and model drift and Exhibit a willingness and natural curiosity to explore new technologies and methods to solve cutting-edge business problems

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Data analytics or Data Sciences with 1 to 4 years of experience
- Working knowledge of common tools and concepts used in MLOps to support performance monitoring
- Self driven, able to work independently yet acts as a team player

Desirable Requirements
- Exposure/ working knowledge of tools such as MLFlow, ETL pipelines, Spark, Hadoop, and Kubernetes and containers
