**Draftsman Job Description**

We are looking for a dedicated draftsman who is responsible for creating a detailed design using CAD software. The Draftsman is responsible for following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.

To be successful as a draftsman, you should stay up-to-date with new drafting software and advancements. An exceptional draftsman will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline they draft for.

**Responsibilities**:

- Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings
- Liaise with engineers to gather requirements and designs
- Make revisions based on customer requirements
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure the model is correct
- Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and requirements in materials
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the engineering team
- Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team
- Ensure final designs comply with regulations, quality standards, and clients specifications

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 2 or more years' field experience
- Knowledgeable in AutoCAD 2D, 3D, CADworks & Tekla
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices
- Solid mathematical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
