We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and creative individual with a passion for engaging communities through programmes and collaborations.

There are three main objectives of this role. The first is to have a strategic understanding of the museum in the museum community and ecosystem - from audience groups (e.g., families, youths, students, and teachers, etc.), to artist, craftspeople, designers, institutions, and vendors. The second is to conceptualise and actualise a series of programmes that considers these communities alongside the museum’s brand and its calendar of events. This position will also work closely with other talented individuals and divisions in the museum and National Heritage Board (NHB) - to ensure alignment of museum programming and collaboration efforts with NHB’s overall strategies and objectives.

The role will focus on developing and executing festivals, programmes, experiential and multimedia interactives, and any relevant content for the Asian Civilisations Museum and Peranakan Museum.

This is achieved by understanding the narratives and content of the museum, its existing and potential audiences, and by advocating relevant and practical partners, collaborations, activities, installations and platforms that will present ACM content across target audiences in an educational and engaging manner.

**Responsibilities**
- Identify potential communities and/or individuals for engagement, with consideration of improving the museum ecosystem
- Conceptualise and execute monthly programmes (onsite and/or online) with a team of programmers
- Write and review post-programme assessments and evaluations, revising programmes where required for improved editions.
- Report and manage key performance indicators and budgets for relevant initiatives
- Liaise, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Including key partners, community leaders, educational institutions, government agencies, private sector organisations, and all other teams at ACM, to ensure successful execution of projects and partnerships

**Requirements**:

- Has a keen interest in understanding the landscape of museums, culture and heritage is preferred with context to the role’s responsibilities
- Background and/or interest in Art History/Communications/Event Management, or; demonstrated passion for the arts, heritage, and design landscape and ecosystem
- Has working knowledge of programme creation, with ideally preferably at least 2 years of active programming and events management - in arts or cultural events
- A self-motivated, creative, problem solver that can take on challenges (e.g., tight timelines, resources and budget, multi-task when needed), adapt quickly and think outside the box
- A team player and collaborator with proven ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders and/or agencies
- Well versed with communicating and/or community management over various means including social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) and other relevant digital platforms
- People skills to naturally inspire and bring out the best in the team and colleagues; to learn and coach self and members towards achieving better work culture
- Experience in writing, creating, and presenting content for a digital audience is an advantage with context to the role’s responsibilities (e.g., able to research, understand and interpret concepts of Asian art in an engaging fashion )
- Experience in government procurement processes is a bonus
- Able to work outside of regular office hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
