Extra-Ordinary People is a charity and Institute of Public Character (IPC) striving to enable and support persons with special needs. We adopt an ecosystem approach towards enabling and empowering youths with special needs to live independently, be work ready, work able and sustain employment. We strongly believe in providing a holistic support, including and involving parents/caregivers in the process.

Working in close collaboration with other professionals (therapists from other domains, ability coaches, etc.), we are looking for dynamic and passionate Educational Therapists to join our team in journeying with these individuals and their families through their lives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide literacy and/or numeracy intervention for children and youth with specific learning differences in an individual or small group setting both in-person and virtually
- Facilitate learning via a diverse range of instructional strategies to increase literacy and numeracy skills acquisition
- Monitor, evaluate and document the clients’ progress
- Work with caregivers and other relevant professionals to design Individualised Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Provide professional input to integrated team and case discussions
- Work with members of the integrated team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Company-curated programmes relating to enabling clients to be work ready, work able and live independently
- Conduct meetings/webinars with caregivers regularly and work with them to enhance learning
- Conduct talks and/or workshops for caregivers and members of the public
- Provide consultation and training services for other professionals, educators and organisations
- Work closely with members of the integrated team to ensure best practice and high-quality care
- Provide professional input to integrated team and case discussions

**Requirements**:

- Received training in a specialised teaching approach (e.g. Orton-Gillingham, LindamoodBell)
- A minimum of three years’ of relevant teaching experience where at least 6 months is spent providing intensive literacy and/or numeracy intervention in an individual or small group setting
- Worked with students with developmental and/or learning difficulties (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD)
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Be able to work on Saturdays
- Must be able to deliver sessions in-person
