An exciting opportunity awaits a competent Head of Compliance with a reputed brand in the banking industry with global footprints.

This is a senior leadership position, and you will be a member of the Management Committee. In this position, you will oversee the full Compliance spectrum for the Kuala Lumpur branch. You will lead a team to drive a good regulatory compliance and AML framework and ensure alignment with the Group policies and local regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of client onboarding and periodic review, compliance monitoring, review of business activities, selling practices and cross-border activities.

You act as a trusted advisor in giving sound advice to businesses. As a leader, you will work alongside the business to foster a compliance culture and exercise prudent risk-taking. You have excellent people management skills to coach, mentor, and train team members.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 15 years’ Compliance experience in a bank or financial institution, ideally with the funds/asset management industry. Good interpersonal skills and experience working in a multi-cultural environment. Knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
