Job Responsibilities
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and corporate operating procedures and policies.
- Manage the team in all necessary duties to develop and deliver comprehensive design and construction contracts.
- Deliver project cost reporting details for the Director
- Provide strong contractual leadership to the Contracts team
- Prepare cost planning packs for the purpose of capital funding projects
- Support the implementation of procurement strategies within the Department
- Plan and manage the workload of the Department
- Provide guidance and mentor more junior members of the Department
Job Requirements Education & Certification - Bachelor Degree in relevant field Experience - At least 10 years of working experience with minimum 6 years of managing people Other Prerequisites - Detailed knowledge and understanding of construction procurement processes with acute commercial awareness - Ability to work with cross-functional teams and supply chain partners, ensuring awareness of project commercial and contractual constraints. - Advise on and develop existing departmental standard operating procedures - Co-ordinate members of both the owner and supplier teams to ensure project specific tasks are undertaken timeously. - Proficiency in MS Office - Experience in Ariba, Primavera and Sage based software would be an advantage
