This position is a coverage role purposed to (i) Broaden and deepen existing FI/NBFI relationships and develop new business (ii) Deliver solutions to clients by working with relevant internal stakeholders and product officers (iii) Actively manage the credit risk profile of the portfolio and ensure compliance (iv) Align with the overall Financial Institutions business strategy and mid-term plan to deliver results. This position reports into the Head of FIG, Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop FI related businesses such as debt structuring, capital markets, global markets, cash management and custody
- Execute the FI business strategy in country of coverage assigned and monitor the progress of implementation to drive revenue growth for FIG Asia
- Achieve incremental revenue from new clients, new products and new initiatives ensuring cross selling and a healthy product mix
- Develop MUFG’s business globally through MUFG affiliates and partner banks; explore new opportunities as One MUFG
- Enhance Cross-Regional activities, by collaborating with locally based coverage bankers and product officers
- Ensure account plans are maintained, fit for execution and regularly reviewed. Strict adherence to the set RORA/ROE guidelines
- Connect beyond your team and leverage our global strength as One MUFG
- Develop self and others, and recognise achievements
- Encourage innovative ideas
- Ensure adherence to all Regional/ Country Risk and Compliance requirements and the prevailing Regulations, resulting in zero regulatory or compliance breaches
- Proactively identify and remediate risk and control issues (e.g. credit and operational risk inclusive of information security, data accuracy/integrity, and fiduciary duties)
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls indicative of a disciplined culture that continuously strives to prevent unsafe or unsound practices.
Job Requirements
- Degree from a qualified institution
- Minimum 3 year of experience in a coverage role capacity in a Bank or Financial Institution
- In-depth knowledge of corporate banking products and services
- Credit analysis skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
- Strong understanding of local finance laws and regulations
