**Senior/Research Fellow in Bioinformatics and Microbiome in Asst Prof Shen Xiaotao's lab at LKCMedicine.**
We are looking for a Senior/Research Fellow in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology, who will develop new computational algorithms to decode the comprehensive interactions between microbiome and metabolites/proteins, and how they affect human health. As a Senior/Research Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of microbiome-host interactions and their implications for human health, with a particular focus on aging and aging-related diseases, as well as pregnancy and pregnancy-related diseases. You will leverage your expertise in bioinformatics to develop innovative algorithms that analyze complex data sets, elucidating the role of microbiome-derived compounds and proteins in shaping host physiology and disease susceptibility. Additionally, you will conduct scientific research to uncover novel insights into the mechanisms underlying microbiome-mediated effects on health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Scientific Research of Multi-omics Data
- Develop New Algorithms for Multi-omics Data Integration
- Writing Scientific Manuscripts
- Maintenance of Bioinformatics Pipelines in the Lab
Key Competencies and Requirements:
- A Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or relevant majors.
- Proficiency in data analysis using R, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- A strong track record of publications or preprints in relevant areas.
- Proficiency in English and exceptional writing abilities.
- Prior experience in microbiome and metabolome research is advantageous.
