Biological Data Analyst Position

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Research Fellow to play a critical role in our research endeavors. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex biological data, leveraging computational tools and methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, with expertise in programming languages such as Python or R. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques is essential for this role.

  • Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines to facilitate genomic and proteomic analysis.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to interpret complex biological data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, hematologists, and other scientists, to understand their data needs and provide bioinformatics support.
  • Contribute to scientific publications and reports by providing bioinformatics insights and analyses.

This position requires a PhD in Bioinformatics or its equivalent, as well as experience working in a research lab environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration and interaction with colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in Bioinformatics or its equivalent.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with high-throughput sequencing data analysis and interpretation.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and data visualization techniques.
  • Familiarity with databases and data management systems relevant to biological data.
