As a Senior Software Engineer you will lead, design, enhance and build our solutions for customers in an agile, fast-paced environment. An individual contributor role responsible for solving complex problems using wide ranging commercial and BI tools working along with the team raising the team standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participates in requirements elaboration sessions to ensure user needs are well understood and captured.
- Build deep understanding of data and business domain knowledge.
- Responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports that utilize the underlying data stores/data warehouse/data marts/OLAP cube.
- Participates in design and code reviews to ensure best practices are adhered.
- Assist as necessary with user acceptance testing of the reporting systems.
- Following Dev Ops Model, Agile implementation and JIRA creation / management for projects.
- Assist platform owner with periodic evaluation of next generation BI tool.
- Exhibit strong skills in data modeling. Building cube in tabular model with proficiency on DAX scripting. Building Reports using Tableau/ Power BI with proficiency on SQL scripting.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in administrating and maintaining the BI components involving OLAP and Reporting tools / components.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Engineering or Analytics or Data Science or Statistics or Math or Business required.
- Understanding and familiarity of BI and DWH concepts including Data Modeling, Data Warehouse structure, OLAP, Operational Reporting, Data Analysis, Data Visualization and Storytelling.
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience in implementing End-to-End Business Intelligence suite, understanding ETL strategy and influencing the data model decisions for reporting.
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience in OLAP (SSAS - Tabular) and Reporting (Tableau, Power BI or MicroStrategy etc.) with expertise in DAX, SQL/PLSQL scripting or any SQL variant.
- Developing sophisticated data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI or other viz tools.
- Proven expertise in identifying the performance bottleneck in Tableau, SSAS and database components. Advice team on appropriate tuning techniques w.r.t SQL and DAX scripting.
- Working knowledge in SSAS administration (SQL Profiler, Perfmon, Security Architecture, User creation and Audit) will be an added advantage.
- Scripting languages such as Python, R and jQuery will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to machine language and big data will be an added advantage.
