Business Development Manager

**THE ROLE**
Reporting to the General Manager of the 3PL Logistics division, the Business Development Manager expands the accounts of existing clients and acquires new accounts.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and implement business development strategy and plan to grow and develop 3PL logistic business
2. Maximize every sales opportunity in order to increase revenue and profit margins
3. Actively source, identify and contact new prospects with a view of securing direct account business.
4. Maintain a rolling action plan on prospects, targets and KPIs
5. Assess market potentials, identify and follow up on all potential new business opportunities.
6. Liaise with current corporate accounts and trade partners in order maintain and grow current relationships.
7. Work with GM, sales and marketing teams in the development and implementation of business development strategies and plans and identification of new ways of increasing the business.
8. Work with management to build annual sales budget and drive for budget achievement.
9. Manage overall portfolio gross margin and pricing discipline.
10. Arrange and participate in networking events to further develop and expose the group’s brands.
11. Support Corporate in providing materials and information to support corporate business development
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
1. Business, Logistics or related Diploma or Degree
2. At least 6 years of experience in sales or business development in similar industries
3. Proven track records in bringing in new customers and converting leads to sales
4. Sole contributor who is versatile, collaborative and a team player
5. Strong customer relations
6. Self-driven motivated with passion in 3PL logistics/warehousing and ambition for upward career mobility
