**Job Summary**:
The Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the slaughterhouse by performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and safe processing of meat products. This role involves assisting with the preparation, processing, and packaging of meat, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards, and supporting the production team to achieve operational goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Processing Support**:Assist in the preparation and handling of livestock.
Support the slaughtering process by performing tasks such as stunning, bleeding, and dressing.
Ensure proper operation of processing equipment and report any malfunctions.
- **Quality Control**:Monitor and maintain hygiene standards throughout the production area.
Inspect meat products for quality, adhering to safety and health regulations.
Assist in sorting and grading meat products according to quality specifications.
- **Sanitation and Safety**:Follow established sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, tools, and work areas.
- **Documentation and Compliance**:Maintain accurate records of production activities, including yields and waste.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work closely with other production staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address any issues or concerns.
- **Miscellaneous Duties**:Perform other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Manager.
Participate in training sessions and safety meetings as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- **Experience**:Previous experience in a meat processing or slaughterhouse environment is advantageous but not required.
- **Skills**:Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
Good physical stamina and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
Basic understanding of hygiene and safety practices.
