**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmaps to position the company as a leader in gas delivery for next-generation semiconductor tools.
- Establish and maintain state-of-the-art cleanroom R&D laboratories for gas delivery component testing and qualification, ensuring adherence to SEMI, ASME, and safety standards.
- Serve as the principal design authority for new and modified gas delivery system architectures, with final sign-off responsibilities.
- Lead end-to-end development of gas delivery systems-from concept through build, test, and qualification-including gas boxes and subsystems.
- Engage with strategic vendors for component co-development and qualifications, lead university research partnerships for disruptive innovation.
- Build and manage a high-performing R&D team, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Drive complex product development programs in collaboration with Product Management, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Support teams.
- Oversee resolution of escalated field issues through systematic methods
- Identify and resolve performance issues in critical gas delivery components (e.g., MFCs, valves, filters, regulators) to ensure reliability and accuracy.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 6+ years of experience in gas delivery systems R&D, with at least 2 years senior technical role.
- Experience in Cleanroom development, operations, and maintenance for gas delivery or similar high-purity systems.
- Strong understanding of gas system design for PECVD, ALD, DM tools, including subsystem architecture, testing, and safety standards.
- Proficiency with engineering tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter.
- Track record in managing R&D projects, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
- Experience with SEMI and ASME standards, RCCA (8D, 5-Why), and design for reliability and manufacturability.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor high-performing engineers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Exposure to electrical circuit and interlock system design for gas boxes.
- Experience with pressure decay, bit testing, and tracer gas testing methodologies.
- Background in collaborative R&D programs with academic or industry research partners.
- Familiarity with global regulatory and safety compliance for high-purity gas systems.
