Business Development Trainee

**Role Description**

1. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and Director

2. The position acts as a direct representative of the company to the customer and has to ensure the product proposed is suitable to the customer's needs.

3. The individual is also reponsible for building and maintaining relationship with current and new customers in order to secure new and renewal contracts in the future.

4. The individual has to identify new products according to the market trend.

**Specific Responsibilities**

1. Participate in the development of sales teams goals and personal progression.

2. Understand different product specifications and functions.

3. Identify new leads, business opportunities and expand customer base.

4. Engage existing and new customers in a timely and professional manner.

5. Conduct sales calls, preparation of sales proposals and quotations.

6. Conduct product demonstration and training to end-users.

7. Ensure customer satifactory with follow-up survey.

8. Calculate "leasing repayment plans" for customers to meet their budget.

**Competencies**

1. Active participation in developing team goals, objectives and personal progression.

2. Gain product knowledge on equipment specifications and know their difference in order to propose to customer according to their needs.

3. Identify new customers according to their industry and whether our product are suitable for them.

4. Identify competitor brands and their specfication in order to proposal a superior equipment to the customer.

5. Draft proposal for customers to compare on various equipments, advise them on the pros and cons of each equipment and which option suits their operation and budget.

6. Calculate leasing repayment options and advise customers on the most cost effective option. Help customers to reduce their monthly leasing installment if necessary.
