The role of the Head Communications, National Centres, will report to the Group Chief Communications Officer, NUHS. The incumbent will consolidate and helm the communication teams for all three National Centres namely,
1. National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS)
2. National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS)
3. National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore (NUCOHS)

The incumbent should be a savvy, integrated communications expert who will be a part of the National Centres’ leadership team and will closely with the Centre Directors and relevant stakeholders to contribute to the corporate objectives of each National Centre. As part of a holistic strategy, while also needing to focus on the diverse communications requirements for each of the three National Centres, the scope will include setting the strategic direction and implementing the full spectrum of internal and external communications-related work such as branding and marketing; media relations and crises communications; fund raising and events; patient and community engagement; and as importantly, staff engagement.
- Set the overall strategic direction and develop effective workplans and deliverables to increase the brand and visibility of the three National Centres among internal and external audiences.
- Consolidate and streamline the structure and work processes of the National Centres’ communications teams to maximise resources and capabilities.
- Align the communications activities, publicity and messages; and synergise the various outreach for greater impact and visibility among internal and external audiences.
- Oversee media relations within the National Centres.
- Oversee a nimble social media strategy to increase the National Centres’ digital media presence.
- Maintain a robust crisis communication response plan/ strategy, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure timely and consistent communication flow for internal and external audiences.
- Oversee fund-raising activities as well as patient and/or community engagement events to deepen community partnerships with likeminded stakeholders.
- Oversee a suite of internal outreach platforms to execute timely communications of corporate objectives, milestones and achievements to strengthen organisation pride and rally staff.
- Oversee the budget, manpower and talent development for the National Centres’ communication teams.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor degree in Arts or related disciplines such as Mass Communications, Literature, English Language, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline, etc.
- Minimum 15 years’ of leadership experience and in areas such as Media relations and crisis management, Service quality and Community relations.
- All-rounded communications professional trained in the full spectrum of communications functions
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight timelines
- Excellent communications, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Able to lead and manage team
