The Property & Casualty (P&C) department is responsible for the underwriting of risks, issue of alteration and renewal of commercial insurance policies and outward reinsurance business, claims and loss control for commercial lines business.
As a Senior Executive in our P&C department, your key responsibilities include:
- Review of corporate business renewals from direct clients and/or intermediaries in accordance with the Guidelines including Acceptance Limits, co-ordinate risks surveys (where necessary) and/or secure reinsurance support (if required) before releasing the renewal terms to them
- Handling of mega or complex renewals
- Maximise renewal retention
- Provide underwriting support to Business Development team
- Ensure that renewal terms are provided to intermediaries within the service standard, and providing technical advice to continuously maintain good rapport with intermediaries
- Day to day servicing which includes following up on outstanding premium
- Review underwriting guides including audit on both new & renewal cases to ensure consistency
- Carry out market research by soliciting intermediaries' feedback, analyse competitors' packages and quotations, in consultation with the Supervisor
- Undertake projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Head of Department
**Qualifications**:
- At least obtained a Diploma or similar qualification
- CGI Qualification
- Min. 3 years of underwriting experience for General classes of insurance
- Customer focus, good communication, teamwork, problem-solving, analysis & negotiation skills
