ROLE OUTLINE

As the Head of Research and Technology at this esteemed global food company, you will play a pivotal role in driving technological innovation and shaping the future of the business. With a strong emphasis on leading our Research and Development (R&D) department, you will be responsible for spearheading cutting-edge initiatives, optimizing processes, and ensuring the delivery of top-quality products to our consumers. This role reports directly to the Global Chief of Technology and offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a $6 billion business.

Establishment and Execution of R&D and Food Strategies:

- Develop and update Technology Road Map (TRM) for medium to long-term strategies.
- Monitor TRM progress, provide guidance, and report strategic directions to executives.

Technology Trend Monitoring and Acquisition:

- Assess global food technology capabilities and identify trends.
- Make decisions on progress, considering technology acquisition and open innovation.

Product Development Status and Direction Assessment:

- Make final decisions on new product launches and renewal instructions.
- Evaluate technology development status and make investment decisions.

Research Institute Organization/Process Management:

- Propose organizational restructuring and process improvements.
- Ensure acquisition, movement, and development of research personnel.

Recruitment and Capability Enhancement:

- Assess outstanding researchers and enhance capabilities through talent development measures.
- Participate in key meetings and host research institute meetings.

EXPECTATIONS
- Master's degree in Human Nutrition, Food Engineering, or similar. PhD preferred.
- 25 years of experience with at least 200 employees in people management.
- Competence in R&D strategy formulation and global trend analysis.
- Experience in new business and product development through R&D.
- Possession of a global network in academia and industry.
- Fluency in Korean language
