Hardware Enabling Engineer

**Job Summary**
- This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex software systems that meet specific business needs or technical requirements. The role works at the intersection of software development, system architecture, and project management to ensure the successful development and deployment of software solutions that address a wide range of challenges and requirements. The role optimizes software systems for enhanced performance, scalability, and resource efficiency to deliver an optimal end-user experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead multiple project teams comprising software systems engineers and development partners through all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
- Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners, including ODM and IHV, on software systems design and development.
- Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards, providing tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
- Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
- Offer guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

**Education & Experience** Recommended**
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

**Preferred Certifications**
- Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Proficient in a variety of software systems design tools and languages.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in the overarching architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
- Adept at designing and integrating software systems operating on multiple platform types into the overall architecture.
- Knowledgeable in evaluating and formulating software systems testing and methodology, including the creation and execution of test plans, as well as debugging and testing scripts and tools.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English and local language. Capable of effectively conveying product architectures, design proposals, and negotiating options at the senior management level.
- Proficient with Windows OS and device driver development.
- Experienced in WWAN 4G/5G module integration within Windows systems.
- Well-versed in 4G/5G 3GPP protocol.
- Experience in NFC module integration within Windows systems is advantageous.
- Experience in Bluetooth/WiFi/Ethernet software integration on Windows.
- Expertise in Bluetooth/WiFi/Ethernet protocols and firmware, along with debugging experience.
- Knowledge of bus level (USB, PCIe, I2C) and debugging experience would be beneficial.
- Expertise in connectivity architecture on Windows is desirable.
