- Leads and coordinates the disciplines.- to assure customer approval for engineering documents,
- to generate the input for manufacturing in line with the Siemens scope
- stay within the budget for his scope
- communication and alignment with the relevant project-external company functions like PLM, R&D, QM, EHS
- demanding and releasing the required staffing

**Main Tasks**:

- This includes leading and coordination of- design reviews including their documentation.
- Assure preparation by the team leads of Q-Gates and participation in Q-Gate meetings
- Regular budget review meetings with TPM and Commercial Project Manager
- Check and validate the individual discipline engineering OIC budget, schedule and deliverables
- Provides the staff planning (roles / qualifications and time) and requests to the line management for the TPM and functions within his responsibility. The staff planning within a discipline is delegated to the TPM with confirmation of the PME
- Participates in change management board meeting, representing the project engineering
- To assure generation of the following deliverables- Input for SCM and manufacturing (e.g. Design status 200.2)
- Contractually required engineering document submittals for customer approvals
- Preparation of system performance criteria for integration tests
- Consolidation and submission & presentation of Engineering Reports with input for the same is to be provided by TPM for
- BU PSR
- Business Domain PSR
- Reports for Engineering internal controlling
- Customer reports (e. g. Monthly Progress Report)

**Authority**:

- The PME leads the engineering team and deputizes the Project Manager. He has the technical authority and decision-making-power over the technical project managers (TPM) (engineering discipline leads).
- The PME communicates with the Customer directly (supported by the TPM if needed) for all technically relevant matters (e. g. owner inputs, document submittals, change and interface management).

**Responsibilities**:

- The PME has the global engineering responsibility for a project.- The PME reports to the Project Manager (PM)- The team leads for the different disciplines report to the PME.Manages all engineering aspects for the project including the following key aspects:
- Compliance with Contract Requirements (related to the design)
- System Performance Criteria
- Interface Management for Engineering
- Contribute to Change and Configuration Management
- Contribute to Project Schedule
- Provide and prepare claim relevant information
- Leading the technical communication with the customer
