**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the warehouse and distribution operations through streamlined procedures and processes that ensure fast, accurate and effective delivery of goods to customers

- Continuously strengthen the fundamentals and proactively seek improvement opportunities to improve current operations. Conduct gap analysis, identify areas for improvements and to lead and manage the implementation of these projects with quantified deliverables so as to improve service level, productivity and reduce cost at the same time meet or exceed customer satisfaction
- Plan and manage resources and consumables to ensure business continue to run in a cost effective manner by ensuring optimal utilization of all headcounts, warehouse storage and vehicles; and availability of adequate tools and equipment for staff to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently
- Ensure vendor assessment is done on a regular basis, review service, maintenance and diesel cost; and purchase cost of all packing materials and consumables to ensure best quality at the best cost
- Monitor and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of all trucks and all other equipment
- Work closely with the customer service department in addressing customer complaints and perform service recovery promptly. Perform quality check on corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily
- Perform data analysis of customer feedback and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and drive both safety and security initiatives; and conduct relevant safety training to minimize safety related incidents in the warehouse and delivery process as well as to mitigate any potential security risk within the supply chain
- Responsible for risk assessment and management, identifying safety gaps and establishing corrective actions to close all safety gaps
- Responsible for Bizsafe audits and renewal; and ensure compliance with requirements in the WSH (Risk Management) Regulations
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines pertaining to warehouse and delivery operations
- Develop and implement an effective training program for staff to enable them to perform their roles and responsibilities effectively and independently
- Manage the performance of the team, identify, develop and retain high potential staff. Manage non-performer through coaching or placement in position that focus on their strength
- Support the Managing Director in managing the capital investment of all warehouse and distribution facility and equipment, identify and track all operating cost parameters, which includes conducting feasibility studies to determine if changes need to be made to resources, equipment or facility in order to support the changing business need

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics and Distribution, Business Administration or related discipline with at least 10 years relevant experience in a distribution, trading or 3PL industry
- Proven track record with at least 5 years in a middle management capacity
- Strong leadership, high energy and sufficiently hands-on to work with the team and lead by example
- Good knowledge in warehouse and inventory management system
- Experienced in transport & route planning and fleet resource management
- Good command of written and spoken English; and proficiency in Mandarin and/or Malay is a distinct advantage
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff
- Must be well organized, meticulous and possess good planning skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to multi-task
- Forklift and driving licence is preferred
