Broadcast Engineer

**Essential Duties/ Responsibilities**:

- To be able to assist in setting up, to configure, operate and maintain a wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment’s involved in outside broadcasting production, including, but not limited to Digital, SD / HD Video, RF, Audio and Communication Equipments.
- To be particularly competent in the use of Radio Frequency Equipment and antenna systems
- To be able to delivery smooth & error free uplinking, transmission & playout of live, recorded events.
- To be able to provide routine & periodical, preventive & troubleshooting maintenance of installed RF, broadcast equipment & playout facilities
- To engage with OEMs & Vendors with respect to maintenance & upgrade of RF Equipment
- To perform the works (including the service) with professional skill, due care and diligence to the best of its ability, and in accordance with highest industry standards and practices for works.
- To undertake project work and assist the Engineer In-Charge in a professional and timely manner in the setting-up, installation, maintenance and dismantling of broadcast equipment.
- To assist in keeping the equipments updated with new manufacturers software.
- To be responsible for maintaining technical equipment and systems to the required safety and technical standards with minimum disruption to operational activities.
- To be willing to **update and train engineers**with the new technologies used by NEP Singapore that has not been experienced or worked before.
- To work safely at all times, complying with statutory safety requirements from NEP Singapore Health and Safety Policies.
- To be flexible with work time and travel.
- Any other ad-hoc duties.

- Hands on Experience or knowledge in Broadcast Operations & Engineering ( Compression & RF Equipment workflows,
- Automated & Manual Playout Equipment & Workflows, Library, Archive & Traffic Workflows, Production & Postproduction Equipment & Workflows, Facility & Electrical maintenance, Brodcast ITequipment & workflows)
- **Relevant Soft skills & Personality Traits**:

- 1. Written & spoken communication skills suited for Internal & External Correspondence & coordination.
- 2. Interpersonal skills for internal, client & government relations.
- 3. Anticipatory Trouble shooting & proactive approach
- 4. Working knowledge of MS office.
