Executive (Scout Shop)

**Roles & Responsibilities**
**Job Summary**:
- Plan, manage and maintain the effective and efficient running of the Scout Shop
- Oversee effective and efficient day-to-day sales and shop operations.
- Review existing supplier’s quotations and the sourcing of better products and at a more competitive cost.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Planning**
- Review, plan and recommend the optimum stocking levels and product mix for the Scout Shop
- Review, plan and recommend a shop layout to optimise customer satisfaction and control
- Review, plan and recommend repurchase quantities to meet demands of peak and off-peak periods
**Shop Management**
- Manage and supervise the day to day purchase and sales operations of the shop,
- Manage, supervise and ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to,
- Submit Monthly report on Sales and Shop operations,
- Reconcile monthly sales transactions with Finance Department.
**Shop Operations**
- Maintain proper record of all transactions
- Maintain proper control of cash and proper handing over of cash to Accounts Department
- Maintain and ensure the proper operation of the stock and point-of-sale systems
- Sourcing of competitive quotes for all merchandise
- Maintain and ensure the orderliness and cleanliness of the store at all times
- Maintain and ensure that all transactions are entered into the system on a timely basis
- Arrange annual stocktake in the presence of our external auditors
- Provide all necessary records, reports and schedules as required by Accounts Dept/Management
- Attend to all Management and Audit queries
- Attend to all enquires and complaints from Customers
- Submit variance report
**Shop Management**
- Manage and supervise the day to day purchase and sales operations of the shop,
- Manage, supervise and ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
**Other Duties**
- Analyse and plan product offerings and promotions to maximise the revenues of the Scout Shop
- Support Committees and Task Groups of the organization
- Any other projects and roles as directed by the Executive Director
The Singapore Scout Association (SSA), formerly known as the Boy Scouts Association, was constituted under the powers granted by the Royal Charter issued under the hand of King George V dated 4th January 1912, and the Boy Scouts Association Act (Cap 26, Singapore Statutes, 1985 Revised Edition) having the force of law in Singapore.
It is registered (No. 0196) as a Charity under the Charities Act, 1982 with effect from 29th June 1985.
